Together we’ll select your first thought leadership article topic from your content idea spreadsheet (you have one, right?) What are you passionate about writing today? Inspiration definitely plays a role.
Before you put pen to paper on your topic, I will do some basic research on the related keywords, search phrases, search volume and competition.
Based on this research we may narrow the topic & audience down even further, while always keeping your business goals in mind.
If you’ve done a ‘content strategy’ review with me, we’ll follow that roadmap in developing new content.
Outlining with a Purpose
I provide or assist with a ‘people first’ SEO friendly outline. I can be as involved in the writing process as you like.
As you send me drafts of your work-in-progress on Google docs, I will spend time reviewing and suggesting where the article could provide more SEO friendly content, should be expanded or clarified and where links should be provided (both internal and outbound.)
Together we’ll shine the light on your expertise, authority and trust. We’ll establish a consistent brand voice and tone. We’ll determine what graphics, video or images are needed and decide who/how they will be created.

After finalizing your article, we prepare for posting on your website. I write or review your SEO optimized URL, title tag, meta description. I’m happy to teach you SEO best practices for posting. We optimize images - tags, image sizing, alt text - and page formatting, (mobile and desktop), and cross link content as appropriate.
